Mike started his career as a designer in the early 2000's. He quickly recognised that the real key to getting customers to adopt a new digital product was to first understand it from a user's perspective.
Barclays Bank in England was one of the early adopters of user-centred design practices and it was there that Mike began his career in User Centred Design. Since then he has worked across multiple industries, and for both digital agencies and client-side roles in UX and design. He now specialises in customer research, analysing user behaviour and data-driven insights to carefully balance the needs of customers with the strategic goals of the organisations he works for.
With his insistence on a collaborative design process and a welcoming approach to mentoring other designers, his goal with this book is to help UX designers master the art of communicating User Experience effectively to their clients and stakeholders to accelerate buy-in for their UX process.
